Love this Bob…your background. In basketball…what a player you must have been! And then in home building/high end and and the best made…you put your whole self into all you do, I can tell! I knew you wrote Christian. Romance…but not how it came to be…temper tantrum to recognizing God’s patience and knowing what an amazing writer/author you’d be! Thank you for such honesty and sharing your enthusiasm for the new releases…your energy and delight in life are contagious, sweet man! I’m so glad our paths crossed; you gave me a second glance! 😅

Sending good wishes and God’s blessing to you both! Much love!

From a guy who used to race to the newsstand every Saturday morning to read about himself and the points he scored (embarrassing!), to hiding under a rock and shamelessly proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ, this has been quite a journey. Through it all, God had a lot of things to teach me - and if it be in part through an illness, so be it. Clearly, when I fell and broke my kneecap which knocked me out of the building business, HE WASN'T FINISHED WITH ME! So when the first book comes out next week, I have no idea what He will do with it, but I'm resting so easy because I know I didn't write it, and I also know the book has the BEST agent, editor, publisher, publicist and marketing crew this world will ever see! I just have the privilege of the upcoming journey where I get to see what He's going to do with it! Thanks for your kind thoughts, we can't wait to feature YOU!

Dear Bob,

I am so incredibly impressed with you and feel so very humbled that you found me. What a story you have and I love how God is using you. "Building and books" are quite similar in the to-do's and emotions. Both taxing as well. My husband is a 40 year industrial electrical contractor and we have fixed up two homes and built one as a family together. We have always been impressed with quality home building and just the trades in general. I have been washing the dirtiest hard working clothes for so long!! Also your very tall stature, basketball, and your keeping the MS a secret? that is something I would imagine was very difficult for you and, of course, the outcome of the MS and the wheelchair. I love how God found you and gave you a beautiful purpose to write Christian romance! With all the junk out there, the world needs you! I look forward to exploring more in your newsletter! Thank you again for your generous gift of inspiration. We won't give up on spreading God's love! God keep you and bless you Bob. ox

WOW Deborah, you humble me! Truthfully, I've had the most incredible "ride" after having the precursor to MS when I was twenty - great career playing the game I loved; met and married the girl of my dreams; two obnoxiously beautiful daughters who are the apple of my eye; both well educated and married off to the finest of men - now my "sons"; a career doing what I loved, building homes - most builders only dream of the places I've gone, the things I've seen, the people I've met, and the commissions (clients and homes) I've been blessed with; five beautiful grandchildren; forty-six wonderful years with that "girl of my dreams" (with hiccups along the way of course - that's called marriage!) and all of it BEFORE I had to go sit down in my red wheelchair! If I sound like I'm bragging, I am! God is good, ALL THE TIME, and there's so much more to live for. I can't wait to see what He's got next for me, and you and all of the other well-wishers are already a part of my continuing story!

It's very fun to learn about who you are and your observations about building and books. I have MS also...and I'm a writer as well. I am glad you're enjoying writing! Best wishes from an Oregon friend.

Thanks Susan! I appreciate your kind words, and hope you'll take a few minutes to breeze through Some Other Time. Always wanted to make it to Oregon - Bandon Dunes specifically. But when I finally had to crawl out of a sand trap I knew it was time to give up golf - and my dreams of Bandon Dunes!

Dear Bob, my husband’s father grew up in Langlois, a tiny town south of Bandon. Beautiful area. I understand the accessibility issues but Oregon has other places you’d enjoy. I have spent some time in Texas when my sister lived in Fort Worth. I look forward to reading more of your work. I loved to write as a kid already but having MS has probably created more time for writing in my schedule. Glad to meet you here!! Sue
